After "YES," Before "I DO" and Everything In Between

The Bridal Party's Lavender Champagne Bride tied the knot yesterday afternoon at The St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen, New Jersey and we had a blast. I was first contacted by the groom for this 225 guest affair and really enjoyed working with the couple. First, they exchanged vows with full mass, and then partied the night away at The Imperia in Somerset, New Jersey. We always have a great time at The Imperia and all were pleased. One of the highlights of the night, however, was The Bridal Party's Sweets Sideboard (an automatic inclusion on all of our wedding packages) which featured all purple, lavender, chocolate and champagne colored candies and cupcakes. In lieu of traditional favors, the couple made donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure , but our candy display still afforded their guests the opportunity to take a few "sweet mementos" home and they were ecstatic! We shared impromptu snapshots of our RU Pink couple in May, but professional photos were provided to us today! There were several hurdles to overcome during this event, but that's EXACTLY what we were there for.  All unforeseen snafus were handled discreetly and with grace, thus in the end everything was lovely.  The ceremony was held at the Voorhees Chapel on the campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (which is her, the groom and my alma mater).  The reception was held at the Bridgewater Manor .  And our favorite element was our signature "pink" sweets sideboard (candy buffet), which we surprised the guests with toward the end of the evening. Our Weekly Wedding Eye-Candy today features the work of one of my favorite photographers, who shot his cousin's wedding, which took place in Atlanta, Georgia. Of course, the artistic flair used to capture these precious moments is beautifully intriguing, however, what is all the more lovely is how each photo conveys this couple's personal style: instead of a floor-length ballgown, an ivory strapless knee-length dress...instead of a cathedral veil or even the now popular birdcage veil, a dramatic blusher...instead of traditional ivory pumps, red satin peep-toes...instead of a wedding party of 14, just a matron-of-honor and best man...instead of everyone else's wedding , a wedding that successfully reflected who they are as a unique couple.  They went against-the-grain in many ways, but were successful in achieving the proper flow thus nothing feels at all forced.
