Weekly Wedding Eye-Candy: 12/30/09

The last of our Weekly Wedding Eye-Candy series for 2009 features a wedding that took place in my hometown at one of my favorite venues, The Newark Museum.  This gorgeous event was photographed by the magnificently talented Henry Chan and I was blown away by the explosions of color in each and every shot.

The ceremony was held inside the Museum's Billy Johnson Auditorium, which actually seats 300 people.  The reception was held inside one of the Museum's environments of classical design, Engelhard Court.  This space boasts marble floors, seventeen-foot ficus trees and access to the Museum's galleries (which were toured by the guests before and during the event).

Elegance and class exudes. Feast your eyes ...

Jen & Dave: Rustic Romance

We shared snapshots of our Rustic Romance couple in August, but professional photos were sent over the weekend!

This was a highly anticipated event for The Bridal Party. We were thrilled to work with Jen and Dave in planning their wedding at The Raritan Inn at Middle Valley in beautiful Califon, New Jersey. The ceremony was held in the lush field of grass, cocktail hour staged inside a vintage 19th century barn and the reception commenced beneath an intimate white tent. As with most outdoor events, not only do you pray for good weather (which we were blessed with), but also do all you can to ensure rentals and equipment are properly delivered/placed/executed. And although there were a million "moving parts" to this wedding, it all went off without a hitch!

Guests simply adored the pretty mix of vibrant wildflower hues, homemade jam that doubled as escort cards, gourmet cupcakes in lieu of traditional wedding cake and the live band, featuring the groom on keyboard, and …

The folks at WE sent me an exclusive sneak peek ... and of course I'm sharing it with all of you!

Inspiration Board: A Spoonful of Sugar

You're invited to browse our latest inspiration board, focusing on a color without hue ... white. Not many brides are brave or gutsy enough to make white their wedding's entire theme, for fear they themselves will be drowned out. Yet, this has to be one of the classiest and loveliest of color-themes. Perfect in the winter.
