Moving Pictures: Recent Highlight Reels

We at THE BRIDAL PARTY have always been huge supporters and fans of quality videography. Although we hear "We're not going to have a video" constantly in meeting with new clients, we continue to urge brides and grooms to understand and appreciate how priceless moving pictures can be. The truth is - a good wedding video provides you with more realistic and interactive memories and should be as high up on the priorities list as good photography. Here's a look at two of our Autumn 2011 wedding highlight reels, our Enchanted Forest couple and our Isle to Aisle couple. Both weddings yielded spectacular photos, but in viewing their videos you can almost fully imagine what it was like to have actually been there! Hot Trend: Video Save-The-Dates

Thankfully videography/cinematography is regaining it's strength and popularity among brides and grooms.  As I always say, there's nothing like a MOTION PICTURE, and the trend of using video for save-the-date communication is growing leaps and bounds.  After all, unlikely someone in receipt of an ultra-modern video reminder will forget to make note of your upcoming nuptials.  You just can't throw something like this aside in a pile of bills. Brides and Grooms, you can contact your favorite cinematographer OR even grab your FlipVideo camera and create your own little masterpiece.  It's all up to you.  The best thing about any finished product is that it will be a living, breathing reflection of your love and the amazing new life you're soon to embark upon. When Photography Isn't Enough

In my experience, one of the first services brides and grooms are wary about or consider a low priority is videography ; and every time I here " we don't think we need a video " I silently sigh. The general consensus seems to be: wedding videos are tacky and a waste of money. But perhaps this notion exists because folks have traditionally viewed recordings with much too much lighting, horribly inconsistent sound and footage of guests being passed microphones with which to share 15-minute long accounts of their favorite / most embarrassing memories of the couple. Okay, YES...those videos are terrible and unfortunately still exist today but I beg of you, don't give up on videography ! If you've heard or muttered any of the following, here are a few things to consider: "We can relive each moment via our photographs...photography is really the most important thing."  Photography is extremely important and I support making it a top priority on the w...
