Calling All Interns!

The Bridal Party is gearing up to hire interns to assist our Wedding-Day-Direction staff.  If you're interested in joining us to learn more about and receive hands-on coordination experience for executing flawless events, email your resume . If your resume fits our criteria, we will first schedule a telephone interview with you.  Qualifying telephone interviews will be followed by Meet & Greet Interviews in either West Orange or Piscataway, New Jersey.  And finally, meet & greets may be followed by a "trial event" this Fall, where you'll be asked to attend and shadow our current staff on an event to show us what you've got. We are looking forward to a successful 2011 season and hope you'll be along for the ride! Rashana Anderson Founder & Managing Director

Spring 2011 "TONES"

... "tones" meaning the PANTONE Spring 2011 directional colors. Twice a year, Pantone (the global authority on color) announces the season's most important and most prominent hues and Spring 2011 has an abundance for brides planning their weddings to pull from. There's such a balanced a mix of cool and warm colors, thus there is something for everyone! And don't forget about Dessy's PANTONE WEDDING ™ color guide, the ultimate color reference tool for brides and wedding planners which makes it easier to achieve a perfectly color-coordinated wedding.  Perhaps they'll be updating their tool with the new colors for Spring 2011 soon. Stay tuned! - - - - - - - - - - by Rashana Anderson Founder & Managing Director, THE BRIDAL PARTY

From "Project Runway" to "Project White Aisle" ... Again!

Earlier this year, I was excited to announce Project Runway contestant Carol Hannah Whitfield's new bridal collection .  And well ... it seems that Season 5 winner, Leanne Marshall caught the wedding bug too by launching a line of eco-friendly designs for brides!  Known for her architecturally forms, soft pleats and ruffles, Leanne Marshall's bridal collection follows suit.  She is an awesomely gifted designer and has been extremely successful since Heidi Klum announced she was "in."  So, it's pretty exciting to see how she has placed her mark for brides "going green," by utilizing repurposed materials and sustainable textiles.
