Have you discovered GENI?

At first I thought to myself, this post is 100% non-wedding related. However, in so many ways weddings are all about family and since that's what Geni.com is all about, it's sort of relevant.

Founded by former executives and early employees of PayPal, Yahoo!, eBay and Tribe, Geni.com is a tool for understanding and staying in touch with your family. It lets you create a family tree via a simple interface and you are able to expand your tree by adding relatives' email addresses.

So far, my family tree has grown to include about 542, whom I am related to either by blood or marriage. It's terrific! If you haven't already, I highly suggest starting your own family tree and inviting as many of your relatives as you can. You are even able to add friends!

You'll surely learn a lot about yourself and your ancestry. And brides, this is a perfect way to officially merge your family with your new hubby's family. Have fun!
